Qi - vital energy | Gong - cultivate

Qigong is a mind-body-spirit practice that integrates movement, breathing and intention to cultivate vital energy

What is Qigong?

Qigong is an ancient Chinese practice of meditation, movement and healing. Archeological evidence suggests qigong has been in practice for over 7,000 years. There are significant ties to traditional Chinese medicine, including overlap with the understanding of how qi flows in the body along meridians (pathways) and in organ systems. Practitioners of various martial arts have incorporated aspects of qigong to improve breathing, energy cultivation, and fighting techniques. Qigong can be used in personal and group practice, as well as a healing art.

At Lotus Palm Healing the focus is on increasing energy levels and to support healing. Lyria explores both the physical side of Qigong, based on external movements coordinated with rhythmic breathing, and the internal practice Neigong, centered on meditation and internal movement of Qi. When energy points, channels and gateways are open and flowing properly, transmutation of what no longer serves can occur and a new viewpoint and self-expression can emerge.

Qigong can help with:

  • Emotional disturbances - stress, anxiety, depression, traumas, addictions

  • Chronic pain and arthritis

  • Female health - PMS, conception, menopause

  • Inflammatory and autoimmune based conditions

  • So much more!
